Imran Kabir
I photograph the moments between the poses. Those are the ones you keep.
I photograph weddings, holud ceremonies and family portraits, mostly in Dhaka but anywhere in the country if the date is free.

How I shoot
Everyone remembers the posed group photograph. Nobody looks at it twice. The photographs families come back to are the small ones: a grandmother laughing, a brother fixing his cuff, the second before the bride turns round.
I shoot about forty weddings a year and train two assistants. I deliver every gallery within three weeks, edited, not just sorted.
He caught my father wiping his eyes when he thought nobody was looking. That photograph is on our wall.
He was everywhere and I never once noticed him. Then the photographs arrived.
