Most small business owners can tell you what is in the bank. Very few can tell you whether they made a profit last month. Those are different questions, and only one of them tells you whether to keep going.
I look after about forty clients, most with fewer than twenty staff. I ring them before a deadline, not after it.

Questions
When should I give you my papers?
By the tenth of each month for monthly books. For the yearly audit, the earlier the better: three months before your deadline is comfortable.
Do you work with very small businesses?
Yes. Most of my clients have fewer than twenty staff, and some are one person with a shop.
What if I have missed a filing?
Call me before the penalty grows. Most late filings can be put right, and I will tell you what it will cost.
